The Barnes Charitable Trust was set up in 1991 under the terms of the will of the late John Barnes who, for many years, was the owner of Earnseat School.

Welcome to our website

We are at present changing and improving our website. Many of the pages are now finished, but some, like this one are still in the process of being written. We hope you enjoy those pages that are finished and will come back to visit our site again.

The Trust's chairman is Pete McSweeney. The trust now has nine trustees who will work together to maintain and enhance, where possible, this valuable village amenity and continue to ensure that the objectives of John Barnes' generous bequest are never forgotten.
